Hugo Cabret의 작가 Brian Selznick 브라이언 셀즈닉
브라이언 셀즈닉(1966 ~ )은 어린이 책을 위한 삽화를 그리는 미국 출신의 화가이다. 그는 로드 아일랜드 디자인 스쿨을 졸업하고 맨해튼의 출판사에서 3년 간 일했다. 그의 첫 작품인 The Houdini Box는 그가 그곳에서 일하면서 출간된 것으로 알려져있다. 셀즈닉은 칼데콧 상을 비롯하여 블루 보넷 상, 로드 아일랜드 어린이 도서상, 크리스토퍼 상 등 많은 상을 수상하는 등 그 실력을 인정받았다. 가장 최근에 그는 The Invention of Hugo Cabret이라는 작품으로 2008년 칼데콧 상을 수상한 바 있다.
