1. EXT. ICE WALL. DAY
In a glacial, prehistoric landscape, a Scrat (prehistoric squirrel) is seen grunting and panting, climbing up a sheer wall of ice. Slowly and carefully, it moves along using its teeth like a spike to help itself grip the icy overhang. The Scrat moves forward little by little to get on top of the overhang, but it loses its grip. Fortunately, instead of falling off the ice cliff, the Scrat ends up dangling by its tongue, which has stuck to the ice of an overhang. After a struggle, the Scrat manages to swing itself to the top of the overhang, to the next section of the ice wall. In the middle of the icy wall, an acorn is wedged in the ice. The Scrat squeals in joy as it sees the acorn. It runs toward the acorn and pulls it out of the ice. It hugs the acorn in happiness, but as soon as the acorn has been pulled out of the wall, a low grumble is heard and after a moment, water begins shooting out.

SCRAT : Uh-oh.

The Scrat jams its front leg in the hole, but water then shoots out of another place in the ice wall. The Scrat tries to block the holes up but there are too many. One hole appears in front of his face. He jams his mouth in it to block it, but the water fills him up. The Scrat gets rounder and rounder and then, gets blasted away from the ice wall. He swooshes by the blue sky gushing out water from its mouth. He falls down below and smashes down through layers of ice.

The Scrat groans and gets up when a Shovelmouth Boy (a young prehistoric creature) goes zooming down an ice slide, smashing into the Scrat¡ªthey both go sliding down the ice.
It turns out that the Scrat and the Shovelmouth Boy have slided down on which is actually part of a frozen water slide in a glacial water park.

2. EXT. POOL. DAY
In the background, various animals at the amusement park chatter and cheer, riding water slides and playing in the ice pool.
A Start (a small elephant-like prehistoric mammal) is leaning against the ice wall fanning himself.

MR. START : Oy, this global warming is killing me!
MRS. START : This is too hot. The Ice Age was too cold. What would it take to make you happy?

Suddenly, the part of the ledge on which Mrs. Start is lying collapses and she falls into the water with a yelp.

MR. START : This I like!

In the other places of the amusement park, different mammals are enjoying themselves. An Elk Dad slides down the water slide. A beaver follows and gets hit in his behind by the Elk? sharp horns. He screams. Birds swim and dive into the pool. A Beaver Boy makes a small dam but it gets crushed over by other mammals passing by.
The Beaver Boy bawls. Sid, the sloth from the original ?ce Age,?blows a whistle. He is now in charge of the children? camp within the water park.

SID : No running, James! Camp rules!

Sid is standing behind a block of ice, which makes his body appear to be strong and muscular. Cindy, a female sloth, eyes Sid with interest.
